The Board of Directors of the Educational Foundation for Children’s Care Inc. is pleased to announce that Mrs. Yvette Scott, former Vice Chairperson of the Local Management Committee, was voted Chairperson, effective June 1, 2026.
She succeeds Mr. Eric Allen who has served in that role for over 7 years.
Mrs. Scott has distinguished herself through her unwavering commitment to EFCCI’s mission, her dedication to the welfare of the children we serve, and her outstanding leadership in Jamaica over many years, to the church and in the business sector. Her passion, wisdom, and proven record of service make her exceptionally well qualified to lead the Committee during this important period in the Foundation’s development and growth.
The Board also expresses its sincere gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Allen for his exemplary and faithful service as Chairperson over the years. Under his leadership, the Local Management Committee provided invaluable guidance and support for the Foundation’s operations and programs. We are pleased that he will continue to serve as Vice President of EFCCI and will work closely with the Local Management Committee to ensure continuity and the successful advancement of the Foundation’s objectives.
As we welcome Mrs. Scott to her new role, we invite our stakeholders, supporters, partners, volunteers, and friends to extend their full cooperation and support to her and the entire leadership team. Together, we remain committed to providing care, hope, and opportunity for vulnerable children and youth and to advancing the mission of Educational Foundation for Children’s Care Inc.
