Spanish Town, Jamaica — February 25, 2026 — The Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Central Jamaica Conference at its recently concluded Executive Committee meeting held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, voted the appointment of three ministerial leaders to serve with immediate effect.
The Executive Committee voted to appoint Pastor Robert Williams as Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Director. He will continue to serve as Assistant to the President for Evangelism and Senior Pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Spanish Town.
Pastor Kemel O’Hara has been appointed Youth, Children and Adolescents Ministries Director and he will also continue serving as Senior Pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in May Pen.
Pastor Leighton Hynes has been appointed Parish Coordinator for Clarendon, assuming responsibilities previously held by Pastor O’Hara. He will continue to serve as Senior Pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Denbigh, providing pastoral oversight, coordination, and support to churches throughout the parish.
These appointments follow the recent calls of Dr. Barrington McLean and Pastor Dwayne Scott to serve at the Jamaica Union Conference, as voted at its recently concluded session.
The Central Jamaica Conference remains committed to advancing the mission of the gospel, empowering young people for spiritual growth, leadership development, and active participation in mission.
