Braeton Seventh-day Adventist Church training programme

The Braeton Seventh-day Adventist Church, in seeking to carry out the mandate of the World Church to “Tell the World’, took the initiative to train members in becoming effective witnesses for Christ, by providing the resources necessary for its members to engage in personal witnessing activities. In this regard, on Sabbath September 2, 2006, a training programme was launched with 115 registered participants.

At the graduation exercise on Sabbath, November 25, seventy-four members of the Braeton & Hellshire SDA Churches graduated from the ‘Tell the World Bible Instructor Training & Certification Programme’, having successfully completed eight weeks of comprehensive training in effective soul-winning. This programme included a course of study covering the 27 lessons of the Amazing Facts Study Guide, in addition to 15 lectures in various aspects of evangelism, presented by officers from West Indies Union as well as officers and pastors from Central Jamaica Conference.

West Indies Union Bible School has also certified all 74 graduates in addition to six others who did not qualify for graduation, but completed the Amazing Facts Study Guides.

The trainees have been organized into groups and have been actively engaged in witnessing activities and also preaching assignments.
