New Pastors Appointed in Central Jamaica Conference

Pastor Daniel Pink

The Central Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has recently appointed Pastor Daniel Pink and Pastor Alton Williams to assist in the promulgation of the gospel within our Conference. Pastors Pink and Williams currently serves as the district pastors for the Bagbie and Old Harbour circuit of churches in St. Catherine.

Pastor Pink hails from the flowery parish of St. Ann, and is married to the beautiful Corrine Pink who has been of good support in the proclamation of the gospel. They both have been blessed with one son, Maxshorn Daniel Pink. Pastor Pink is a graduate of the former West Indies College now Northern Caribbean University where he earned a Bachelors of Art degree in Theology, 1983. He worked arduously as a Bible Instructor in St. Mary, Portmore, Sydenham and St. Ann and was later ordained on January 8, 1994, when he officially began his ministry.

Pastor Pink has proven to be a man of God and remains consistent in making every effort to reach those who have not yet made a commitment with our Lord and Saviour. He succeeds Pastor Delroy Clarke who now serves as the Associate Pastor for the Spanish Town S.D.A. church. He is devoted to the work of God and under the direction of the Holy Spirit, he intends for everyone to experience a personal and transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.

Pastor Alton Williams

Also rejoining the CJC family is Pastor Alton Williams who hails from the Benbow, Guys Hill area in the parish of St. Catherine. From a child, he demonstrated a keen interest in spiritual things and became a full member of the Seventh-day Adventist church at the tender age of fourteen. He subsequently went on to serve his local church for several years as Sabbath School Teacher, Adventist Youth Leader and Personal Ministries Director.

In 1993 he enrolled at the Northern Caribbean University where he pursued a Bachelors Degree in Theology. He graduated in 1997, which was when he joined the workforce here at the Central Jamaica Conference. Pastor Williams served as Associate Pastor of the Central Village, Spanish Town, May Pen and Linstead Districts of S.D.A Churches and as Pastor of the Clermont and Claremont District of Churches in St. Ann.

In April 2004, he accepted a call to serve in the East Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists where he served as Pastor of the August Town District of Churches in St. Andrew and Chaplain of the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus Advent Fellowship Society. He later rejoined the Central Jamaica Conference where he now leads the flock in the Old Harbour District of churches in St. Catherine

He is happily married to Faith P. Williams, Foreign Service Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, and Counsellor at the Venezuelan Embassy in Jamaica. God has blessed their union with a son, Zachary Kent-Patrick.

To date, God has blessed their ministry with over one thousand precious souls. He continues to look forward to your prayers, your full support and cooperation.
