Central Jamaica Conference's FIRST OPEN DAY


On November 19, 2006, Central Jamaica Conference held it first OPEN DAY AND GARAGE SALE. Church members and visitors from various communities in and around St. Catherine turn out in their numbers to view the various departments and also to meet with the Administration, Directors and workers of the Conference.

The tour of the conference was given by the Receptionist and Secretaries. There was a variety of items in the garage sale; books, clothing and shoes, household, office chairs and many, many more useful articles at rock bottom prices.

Overall the day was a great success as the objective was to have the church and community members here at the conference for the purpose of familiarizing themselves with the various activities that the administration, directors and workers are engaged in on a daily basis.

The visitors were taken on a guided tour to each department where they would meet and have a brief discourse with the director, and then they were given a brochure which gives brief details of that particular department and its functions.

During the tour some persons expressed their appreciation; they were truly delighted to have participated in such an experience. To top it off light refreshments was served. The event started at 10.00 a.m. and ended at 4.00 p.m.
