Background
Victor Dixon High School (formerly West Indies College High School) has been a pioneer of education in rural Jamaica, as well as an incubator in creating West Indies College (now Northern Caribbean University).
The school is owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist church since 1907. As a secondary institution it served only twenty-seven students in its first year, and by 1923 held its first graduation with three (3) students gaining High School certificate. Since then it has been delivering quality Christ centered education, which caters to the social, spiritual, moral, physical and intellectual needs of the students.
Outside of service the wider Jamaican Community from which most of our students come, our school population also consists of students from the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Cayman Islands, Turks and Caicos Islands and the United States of America and England./
