Henry (mother), Pastor Levi Johnson (Executive Secretary, CJC),
Elder Billy Watson (Treasurer, CJC) and Pastor Thomas Bryan
(Stewardship Director, CJC).
It was with a sense of joy that Central Jamaica Conference
congratulated Zhara Henry, a member of the Denbigh Seventh-day
Adventist Church, on her wonderful performance in the recently
published GSAT examinations results. She won the J. A. G. Smith
scholarship for being top GSAT girl and got a place at the renowned
Glenmuir High School.
Zhara was elated that she came out on top, but yet humble, stating
that she didn’t expect it and that it was the blessing of God. “I am
just happy,” she said, “and all I want for us as students is to
remain focus and not to forget God.”
Her mother committed that Zhara has always been a hard worker and
she is always focused on her school work. She also stated that Zhara
is a disciplined girl and one that loves the Lord and her church.
The conference congratulated Zhara at a Discipleship Conference held
at Denbigh Church. The theme of the conference was “From Membership
to Discipleship.”
