The
Children’s Ministries Department of Central Jamaica
Conference is responsible for the spiritual nurturing of
children 0 – 12 years, in order to draw them into a
lifelong redemptive friendship with Jesus and commitment
to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It now offers
nurturing programmes such as the Sabbath School,
Vacation Bible School, Stewardship, Baptismal Classes,
Health Classes, Family Life classes, Week of Prayer
readings, Prayer Meetings. It also offers programmes to
help in the sharing of their faith and development
activities such as: Literature distribution, choirs,
children’s days, and crusades. The programmes accomplished
are Children’s crusades, and other outreach programmes
The plans and
projections are to have ‘child-friendly’ churches, to
involve children in the life of the church, to train
children for witnessing and to lead children in an enjoyable
and spiritual church experience.
