Awardees listening intently at the Awards Ceremony

Cedar Grove Seventh Day Adventist Church created history when thirty five members from the church and its environs were awarded for their service to the church and community at the Marantha Seventh Day Adventist church at 4:30 pm on Sunday, January 25, 2009 under the theme “Fanning the Flames of Ardent Service.”

Dr. Earl Cameron, the keynote speaker at the ceremony

The guest speaker for the evening’s programme was Dr. Earl Cameron, Associate Professor in the School of Religion and Theology at the Northern Caribbean University. In his keynote address, Dr. Cameron spoke about Vessels of Honour. He made reference to Paul’s letter about the vessels made of gold, silver, wood and earth in 2 Timothy 2:20 and 21. He concluded that the awards ceremony was intended for these precious gems who have made sterling contribution to church and community.
