Students of the Villa Park Basic School
greet members of staff at Central Jamaica Conference. The students
were there to do the devotion and presents certificate of
appreciation to the Central Jamaica Conference and Sis. Mary Cole,
Children and Women’s Ministry Director of Central Jamaica
Conference.
Little bolts of sunshine passed our way on the morning of January
29, 2008 here at the Conference office when the Villa Park Basic
School blessed our hearts with a refreshing air of joy and kindness.
These precious little children led out in our devotional exercise
bringing us little reminders of joy to our daily lives.
These
reminders included that of:
-
being cautious of each miracle that blesses our lives.
-
recognizing the small treasures and pleasure that we take for
granted in our daily living.
-
recognize the expected and accept the unexpected surprise with
which God continually blesses us.
These
are all precious gifts that remind us that God is a very real
presence and loves us through others.

A
special presentation was then made to Mrs. Mary Cole, Women and
Children’s Ministries Director who has endorsed the association
between the school and the Conference for the past six years. The
Conference has led out in the provision of Dental and Health Clinics
in which Villa Park Basic School received health checks from various
medical practitioners. The school also maintains a healthy
relationship with the Hiram Walters Health Centre, located in
Sydenham St. Catherine. This entity is operated by the Health
Ministries Department of Central Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day
Adventists.

Pastor Levi Johnson, Executive Secretary of Central Jamaica
Conference, received on behalf of the Conference a plague expressing
gratitude and great delight for the support given by the Conference
to this school over the years. Central Jamaica Conference continues
to lend its support to the wider community as it strives to reach
even the little hearts of children who are little soldiers for Him.
